But now? It’s time to give the tin a new name.

Things have changed around here. We’ve grown – and we’re all geared up for a future that helps even more businesses succeed.

That’s right. We’re expanding our reach.


Leading your way since 2018

Over the past six years, Get Work has evolved. And we’ve got to say, we’re pretty proud of where we’ve landed.

Since 2018, we’ve helped trade businesses like yours find local customers by delivering genuine, exclusive, and consistent leads (over £460m worth, in fact).

What’s more, our customers have been able to secure a steady stream of work without any experience or training, all thanks to Get Work’s all-in-one service.

And for all concerned, it has been working brilliantly.

But, two years ago, it became clear that change was needed.

Becoming a Google technology partner so early in our development made us acutely aware of the importance of a tech-first approach, both in marketing and business. An approach that has allowed us to scale Get Work’s core service beyond what we ever thought possible.

So where would this approach take us next? How could we offer even more value to our customers?

We saw the impact that our service had on local trade businesses, hearing stories of growth and success on a daily basis, which led to a simple realisation we could help more businesses do the same.

What if our technology could help businesses in other sectors too? Not just those in the trade, but local businesses nationwide?

And so Zapo was born.


Get Work rebrands to Zapo

Over the last six years Get work has provided an all-in-one lead generation service to its customers and after delivering over 200,000 leads, it's safe to say, we know what makes a great lead, and also what it takes to convert them.

It is this expertise that has shaped our future.

Powered by AI and experience-backed automation, Zapo will work to help you grow not just through lead generation, but by helping you to nurture and convert leads into customers.

Our new platform signifies the start of a journey that aims to help local businesses at every stage of the customer acquisition process.

To do this, we needed to develop new solutions, tools, and features in the hope of reducing admin for busy business owners and to make it easier for them to find and win new customers.

And with all the solutions, tools, and features we wanted to develop, it was clear that the name Get Work didn’t match up to our new vision.

We needed a name that would resonate with customers across other sectors. That could scale, transform, and pivot along with our customers’ needs, and that could keep pace with the fast-moving world of tech for many years to come.


Where did the name Zapo come from? 

“ZAP!” you've got to admit, it’s a great word, right?

When we delved deeper into the word’s layers of meaning, something about it just resonated with us, perfectly aligning with our ethos, vision, mission, and values. 

Meanings such as:

Passion is the energy that drives our business. We created Zapo because we care. And this shows in the drive we bring to our work – fuelling innovation and our unwavering commitment to your success.

2 To move rapidly

The need for speed with technology is only increasing. By driving innovation, we’re able to produce transformative solutions that haven’t yet been created – so we can help our customers build businesses that last.

3 To make an impact

Everything we do is about making an impact. It’s how we work and approach every challenge, whether internally or for our customers. We strive for excellence at every touchpoint – leaving no stone unturned.


Our unlikely emblem

Picture a pretty little town.
(It’s called Lytham St Annes)

And in that town there’s a building.
(Our building)

And in that building, there’s a window.
(Our office window) 

And just outside of that window stands the town’s windmill: tall, powerful, and iconic.

This windmill fuels our inspiration today.

Way back in 1805, Lytham Windmill was built to automate grain milling, boosting productivity for the local community.

Similarly, Zapo was built to automate lead generation, providing a cost-effective service and making our customers’ lives easier.

Just as towns once relied on windmills, businesses now depend on us to thrive.

So, we've adopted the windmill, to always remember our origins and our mission.

But, we couldn't just have any old windmill, not with such a passionate, dynamic and fun team driving its sails – we needed to inject some life into it – so we used bold colours and playful shapes inspired by our windmill's sails to give our brand the energy it deserves.


A mission that means business

We don’t like nonsense.

Which is why our straight-shooting mission gets straight to the point:

Helping local businesses find and win new customers.

Our mission speaks to our dedication to lead generation (“finding customers”) and to our passion for helping you convert them (“winning customers”).

And not only that, it reflects our determination to help all local businesses – not solely tradespeople.

But as we make the move away from Get Work, we’re beyond excited to also introduce brand-new solutions, alongside big upgrades to our existing lead generation service.

Yes, Get Work’s existing lead generation service has been rebranded to Zapo Ads, but you can still enjoy all the benefits you always have.
